Aloha Friday

Fridays are Aloha Fridays at Kalani's. It's been awhile since I've done this and I don't know why, it's easy and often very interesting! She posts a question on her blog and we link up and post our own questions.

My question is:

If you had the chance to hang out with one or two of your closest blogfriends in your hometown, what would you do, where would you go?

Myself, Christmas lights aside, I think I'd take my friends to Neighbors (a local cafe here in Lee's Summit) and after dinner we'd pick up a bunch of homemade cinnamon rolls to go then head home. I'd just want to sit around the house and hang out...followed of course by Bridget Jones Diary (along with several bowls of popcorn, hot tamales, Reeces Miniatures and Red Vines).

Very interesting question!

Living here in the suburbs of Washington DC, I would take them to the city to see all the sites, then take them to a nice quiet restaurant to relax.

Sounds good...I'll be right up! Cause I WOULD be invited right??

For here? We would go downtown to the Friday First ArtWalk, downing the wine tasting cups, looking all sophisticated then heading home to yap and make fun of all the people we saw that night!

Wow! We'd have a good time at your place. I think the same would go for me except my town is quite small. Our favorite place to eat out is Peony's where they serve the best Chinese food.
Oh heck, let's all get on a plane and go to NYC. I love NYC. We can see a Broadway show, eat Ray's pizza and have a jolly good time!

We would probably go eat somewhere fun and go to the "Big Tree." It is the biggest Bur Oak in Missouri and is definitely an optical illusion! We take all of our friends/family who visit there!

Sounds like fun. The just hanging out part would probably be full of laughs and giggles.

Assuming hometown is where I grew up, no doubt we'd go to the lake. We'd ski, swim, kneeboard, fish, jump on the water trampoline, grill hotdogs and roast marshmallows, camp out all night, and tell scary ghost stories by the fire.

Ahhhhhhhhh . . . what fun!

Maybe watch a chick flick and well your snacks sound great! Or play pool if there was a place to go that did not smell like smoke.
Or a walk in the forest if we felt like a long drive.

Hallsville is just north of Columbia, about 10 minutes. We do pretty much everything in Columbia.

Hmm, that depends. If it were summer, I'd definitely take them to the beach since we're so close to wonderful ones on Lake MI. In the winter, probably find a cozy cafe somewhere to sit and talk.

I've recently married an Aussie and am currently in Australia. So, I have a new hometown. Which is much more interesting than my small town in Michigan. So, I'd take my closest friends here to Brisbane. To the huge mall...and go exploring together! I'd also take them to Addiction - fabulous Asian food! And, definitely to South Bank! We'd have a WONDERFUL time!

You do know how to have a good time. Sounds like a perfect night.

My town is not too attractive. I'm just across the English Channel from France so I would take them there for the day.

Oh I knew there was a reason I never got around to watching Bridget Jones Diary...just don't spoil all the good parts when we watch it okay? And you already know when you visit me that we'll be riding the roller coaster at the Mall of America.

I'll take some friends at the flight line. I live inside an Air Force Base. If we are lucky, we'd probably see some fighter planes around.

I would definitely take them to Hanauma Bay where they could snorkel and see all kinds of cool tropical fish. Of course, I would sit on the beach under a shaded tree to wait for them. hee hee
