It's Poster Day For Alex and Me (We're In Jars)

Before I go wake my little homeschool project up for the day, I'm sneaking in a quickie post! As if! Because then that means I'll be heading over to your place and so on and so on. And later today, I think I'm going link shopping. I'm making a concerted effort to expand my horizons this year, so I thought I'd click on some of your favorite posters and meet them.

This afternoon Alex and I are heading up to the homeschool headquarters (it's in a super secret cave, sorry can't take pictures there--it's where we hoard all our food, weapons and water for, you know, when we'll need it). We're making posters for Friday's Blue Springs School of Economics (educational commerce). I was delighted that homeschool is involved in this, because it's something my older children enjoyed. Alex and I will be making posters today for our little store--jars. I don't know what's in the jars, I didn't ask. I simply asked to be signed up for stuffed animals and because it's how my life seems to float, we'll be in jars!

And at some point today, I'll have to break out the mop and mop the floors. I ordered and have not received my new Bissel steam mop. I'd hoped it would be here by now, but a quick check revealed it was back ordered. It'll be another week. I waited as long as I could. And personally, I could go another week, but I see John's point. Eggnog on the floor in January is not okay. Even IF the coffee I sloshed over it last week helps make it not-so-obvious. So *sigh* I mop today. Or tomorrow. Whichever.

And.... I've been spending all my free time (Cat, I wasn't in church because I was sick--cough cough cough!! Really! Call me, I can cough for you). working on my Photoshop scrapping techniques. I'm so blown away by the amount of freebies and information I can find so quickly! I'm addicted. Here is a sample page: Okay that's so dang cool (even if I did do it myself!) I have to show another (It's my daddy, he really didn't look this gruff, he was fooling around for the camera!):

**Oops, Jami, you're right, in my excitement I forgot to give the credit due! The first layout is a free download by Scrap Hannah (she's got a lot of very cool things, check her out). The second one is from The Shabby Princess (Harvest Spice). I think I love The Shabby Princess, idk.

First and foremost... I love you Stacey! I love your posts, your sense of humor, your spirit, your emotions... I just love you (Yes, maybe I am feeling a bit mushy/sappy today - so what?!?! The world needs a little mush/sap every now and then, don't ya think?)

Second - your scrapbook pages are AWESOME... let me just repeat that... AWEEEEE SUMMMMM! And, they're electronic scrapbook pages, which is definitely my kind of thing... So, now, you've got me wondering... could I do such a thing like this? I mean, certainly, they wouldn't be as cool as yours... but maybe close. I have PhotoShop CS... hmmmmm... you've definitely got me wondering now!

I've got some ideas for my photos and attempting to sell some of them - maybe I'll send you an e-mail to ask for your ideas and input (since I've already reached my length-limit for this comment and I wouldn't want to get banned from commenting) OK, I better make my fingers shut-up now (they get outta control sometimes).

LOVE those scrapbook pages! I'm still scrappin' the old-fashioned way - with printed pictures and real paper -n- stuff. If I got into digital scrapbooking, why, I'd probably never leave the computer! No housework would get done - no meals prepared - no floors mopped - oh wait, I don't do that stuff much anyway. Hmmmm...

I love you, too, Stacey - the thought of you in a jar kinda skeeves me, but if I had you in a jar I'd put you on my mantel, yes I would. I love you THAT much!

Let me jump on the Stacey Love bandwagon. I love you tooooooo...You should feel quite special today. ;)

OH, wow, you told me about the digital scrapbooking, but seeing it makes it all that more awesome. Maybe I should do that for Lamb's DC trip rather than trying the old fashioned way. Altho, I have already bought all the supplies, just haven't gotten the inspiration to attempt it yet.

I am very curious about what goes in the jars....

You and jars "skeeves" me too (very odd but cool word, BS). Can't wait to hear about that!

On the pictures (non-brad pitt ones)...you have to have a wordpress account. See, you don't have a picture of me on my comments to you because I don't have a blogger acct.

Hmmmmm...I may have to change that.

Stacey, I am sooo proud of you.....see how easy it was to digiscrap, and how quickly you can get addicted....just about 10 minutes ago my husband Jim said to me, "Can't you just post a picture on the website anymore, you have to digiscrap Everything!", to my reply,"NO! I CAN'T JUST POST A PICTURE, AND YES I HAVE TO DIGISCRAP EVERYTHING!" Keep up the great work! Don't forget to put the links to the sites where you got the digi-goodies to keep the creators of the scraps happy. Tootles. J-

P.S- If you need some more links, I don't know if you noticed them or not, but on the right side of my web page under Digital Scrapbooking I have some good ones, the best ones are at the top of the list. I love N.B.K, Kim B's, and Fresh Brewed Coffee.

I love pictures so much, but I am not crafty, not one tiny bit. However, your amazing scrapbook pictures give me hope. I would LOVE to try something like that. Totally cool. Did I say how much I love yours? I love yours.

Glad to see you posting, miss you when you don't. It's like, "Stacey, where are you????" I am thinking of you....I read your comment today and I have so many things I want to say to you. You, my friend, are an amazing woman and mother. Do not go back and blame yourself or beat yourself up. God could not have made a more perfect mother, you act out of your heart, out of your heart is pure and total love. Period.

So did you win the planner?

Love.

Yeah, what Eileen said!

Sand art jars, huh? Very pretty but not as exotic as you being in one. ;) I was kinda hoping to have my very own genie in a jar type thing. :D
