I'm going to be out for a few day--I'm fine, I'm just putting my priorities where they should be....ENTERING THE FALL Y'ALL CONTESTS!
Oh hey wait! I do have something here--I got an apple peeler/corer from the thrift store. Very excited, I never could break out the wallet to buy a new one at the P/C parties I've graced over my lifetime (more than a lot). $5.00! So I purchased a bag of apples and I'm fixin to peel, core and slice up a batch of Apple Betty, I am! Then back here for typing, entering contests, typing, entering contests. I figure for every batch of work I type up tonight (150 records is one batch) I should enter four contests. I have about 10 batches, so I should get 40 entered this evening, in addition to the 20 plus I'm already in!
The timing of the giveaway couldn't be better with Christmas withing earshot. John and I are doing Christmas on a budget big time this year. I think it'd be fun to collaborate with others on this--we're dang tired of spending his bonus entirely on Christmas and property taxes. We're not moving, so I guess that leaves Christmas to trim.
On that note, I'm looking at these giveaways with a different bent this time. Is this re-gifting? I'm unclear on that. Say Ethel was doing a giveaway and Myrtle wins. Say it was a set of dishtowels. Birds all over them, very nice. Blue. But say Myrtle gets them and decides the birds don't really play nice with the folk-art cat theme she's got going on in her own kitchen. It would be mean to return them...it would be silly to thrown them out. The only thing Myrtle can possibly do here is wrap them up nicely and take them to her next Bridge party as a doorprize. Right?
Is it all wrong for me to get this excited about a giveaway?

Do you thing BIG AL will like the lotions, good smelling spray and aprons he gets from SC?
Signed,
Thinking of you Mrs. SC (hey that works both ways):)
Well, we know how much you love a good giveaway! Tell ya what - I won't enter this time around so you'll have an even BETTER chance of winning! If a certain pink jacket showed up on your doorstep would it be considered regifting? BTW, if you sent a Christmas gift my way I wouldn't wonder for one tiny second if you regifted it or. Nope, not at all. And if I did think for one second that you regifted it I wouldn't care at all.
I entered 142 freaking contests today. I found my children playing in the back yard naked. My mind is completely numb.
Oddly enough I had the foresight to type up a bunch of blogs this weekend for quick and easy daily posting. I had no idea what a big favor I was doing myself.
Tomorow's blog tells the Matt Damon story, so try to take a break from copying and pasting "What a great gift! Count me in!" For a few minutes and stop by.
BTW I bought one of those apple thingies from Pampered Chef shortly after I got married. It sat in its box for two years before going for $5 at a garage sale. I don't like pie! What was I thinking?
I have the apple thingie, too. Never use it. Maybe I should re-gift it....hmmmmm.....I won't tell if you won't tell!
LOL girl you crack me up! MMMM apple betty sounds yummy!
I am starting work Today! EEEEK!!
Love you girl!
Thank you for everything you do!
You are hilarious, my friend!
There are now 432 giveaways. 432!!! That's at least 432 sips of coffee. I'm going to be so freaking wired! Oh wait, I already am!
Ok...YES I REMEMBER THE BOOTY SMACKING YOU GAVE ME THIS SUMMER!
...geez...
Here we go again...I feel like Marie. I've entered 3/4 of the first 225 and I feel stoned!! But not in a good way. More like the hang over afterwards! Not that I would know...Oiy vay....
I have never had Apple Betty. But, checking out that recipe, I think I MUST and SOON! It sounds oh so yummy.
