I've never done the Thursday Thirteen, but thought what the hay! I think I could come of with thirteen somethings. I thought it would be fun to come up with thirteen things about my childhood you may or may not already know (I know hold onto the edge of your seats, this is riveting!). Here goes:
- My family was very small. At holiday celebrations we consisted of the five of us and my grandma, my great uncle and my great aunt.
- I worked every now and then at the soda fountain in my dad's drugstore.
- When the store moved and the fountain was gone, I worked as a clerk and delivery girl in my teens.
- I was fired from the drugstore at least three times..
- You can get fired if you're busted sneaking across the street during work hours in your bathing suit and beach towel.
- I have a gold panning pan and I know how to use it!
- I walked a mile to town each week to check out the latest teen magazines..anything with Erik Estrada I bought and clipped.
- I had a borderline creepy scrapbook with Erik Estrada's life intricately chronicled for about three years.
- That Christmas we slept in the basement in sleeping bags listening to A Christmas Carol on our radios (smelling pretty darn good I must say!).
- My first boyfriend's name was Charles..
- My mother's station wagon started without a key.....so
- I drove to Charles' house (halfway across town, but it's a small town) at 14.
- My first car was an orange Ford Pinto. Better end it with that, eh.
On a completely different note, I had an amazing day at Nicoal Goes Digi Scrapping...DigiFree picked up my freebies and downloads have been going steady since. I think I'm hooked!

Is that drugstore in Savannah? The one you have the pic on somewhere...Poirer?
I know Chuck Hazlewood if it is, and he is related to the owners.
Luke Menard did much better this week!
Cheers.
Working at a soda fountain sounds so retro! (And because this is your first TT, I'll be nice and refrain from calling you a soda *jerk* lol)
I'm up here and here too.
Nice to know more about your childhood.
Will you visit mine :D Thanks
How fun!! Welcome to TT.

Your #12 made me laugh. Did you really do that? :-)
LOL, I was a big Erik Estrada fan when I was twelve! :)
BTW, I have new contests and giveaways on Hip Mama's Place! Thanks! :)
Ehhh, Erik Estrada wasn't nearly as dreamy as SHAUN CASSIDY! Drool Drool and more drool. :D
You were a rebel, driving at 14, you naughty girl! LOL
I was in love with Erik Estrada too! That is so funny, I haven't heard that name for a long time and it just brought back memories.
Hey are you gonna come to the scrapbook thing at church tomorrow night??
Welcome to T-13! This is a great list...love learning more about you!
(oh, yes, I am tired most days...since you were wondering!)
Those are wonderful! thanks for sharing. Welcome to TT
You were sneaking away in your bathing suit when you were supposed to be working??? *gasp*
Oh girl! What goes around, comes around! Oh crap...Gremlin's going to be the death of me!
Soda jerk....hahahahahaha...
Too funny! My mom's station wagon didn't need a key once it was started. My baby brother used to pull it out while she was driving and play with it. Yep, no car seat back then.
And ditching work for some fun in the sun. You rebel you! :D
LOL - I used to have a Pinto, too! I inherited it from my Daddy. I forgave him a long time ago, tho.
